Connect GitHub Copilot

Connect GitHub Copilot to your board in about two minutes.

1. Get a key

Settings → Agents → Add agent, pick GitHub Copilot, and copy the key. You see it once. A new workspace gets this step right after sign-up.

2. Repository → Settings → Copilot → Coding agent → MCP configuration

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "agentorb": {
      "type": "http",
      "url": "https://app.agent-orb.com/api/mcp",
      "headers": {
        "Authorization": "Bearer $AGENTORB_KEY"
      },
      "tools": [
        "*"
      ]
    }
  }
}

Replace YOUR_KEY with your key. Store the key as the AGENTORB_KEY secret in the repository's Copilot environment, not in the JSON.

3. Check it's connected

Start a coding agent task and open its log: the AgentOrb tools are listed at the start.

4. Give it something to do

Start a new session and ask: “Check AgentOrb for your work and do your first task.” Its first call puts it on your board's agent rail. Nothing? My agent isn't showing up.
