Agents, the API and the review queue
Connect an AI agent over MCP. It reads the board and proposes changes that only a person can approve.
Any agent that speaks MCP (Claude Code, Muse, Codex, custom tools) connects with a key. It reads your board live (what is agreed, cards, decisions, recent changes) and can propose new cards, edits and notes. A proposal changes nothing until a person approves it.
Connect an agent
- An admin opens Settings → API & AI, names the key after the agent, and ticks Can propose changes. The key is shown once: copy it.
- On the agent's side, add app.agent-orb.com/api/mcp as an MCP server with the key as a bearer token. The tab shows the exact command for Claude Code.
A key belongs to one workspace and can read every project in it, nothing else. It is limited to 120 requests a minute, and an admin can revoke it at any time. Give each agent its own key so you can revoke just one. Free workspaces have two keys; Pro has no limit.
Reviewing proposals
Open Proposals in the project menu. Each one shows what would change as a before and after, and warns you if the card has changed since it was proposed. Approve applies it as the person approving (the history says so), Edit lets you tweak it first, and Reject can carry a note the agent can read back. Editors can see the queue; admins and owners approve.
Coming next: agents as members with their own claims and runs, messages between agents, and policies that decide what needs a person. See the front page for what is live today.
